Senior QA Engineer

AI Make Food is on a mission to make great food effortless — using AI to turn ingredients, tastes, and dietary needs into recipes and meal plans people actually love. We're looking for a QA Engineer to help us ship that experience with confidence. You'll own quality across our product: testing the web and mobile experiences, the AI-powered recipe and meal-planning features, and the flows that matter most to users (onboarding, generating recipes, saving favorites, and checkout). You'll catch issues before our users do, build the testing practices that let us move fast without breaking trust, and work closely with engineers and product to raise the bar on reliability. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute manual and automated testing across web and mobile
- Build and maintain automated test coverage for core user flows and regressions
- Test AI-driven features for correctness, consistency, and sensible edge-case behavior (e.g., dietary restrictions, allergens, odd ingredient inputs)
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and verify fixes
- Partner with engineering and product to define release criteria and quality gates
- Help shape QA processes and tooling as the team grows
Requirements
- 2+ years in QA or test engineering
- Experience with test automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Appium for mobile)
- Solid understanding of web and/or mobile app testing and API testing
- Comfort with JavaScript/TypeScript and reading code to investigate issues
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
- Bonus: experience testing AI/ML-powered features or consumer apps at scale
